THE ASSOCIATION

A town comparable to Pietrasanta, where so many different craft are to be met with in a single place, is difficult, if not impossible, to find.
Over the centuries, marble processing has gradually given rise to related activities - artistic foundries, mosaics, inlay work, fine art printing, ironwork, ceramics and others, such as clay sculpture and mold making.
In this way, a self-sufficient system has come about, where entrepreneurs can move and find all the partnerships they need in the fields of art, interior decoration and architectural planning.
The Association Artigianart Pietrasanta, to which more than 40 companies belong today, was established in order to promote, safeguard and increase this precious productive system, with its unique features.
The main purpose is to promote the training of specialised staff through training courses; facilitating individual companies - many of which are family enterprises - to handle with less difficulty the impact of considerable costs, in terms of both time and material, of long years of apprenticeship.
A crucial factor to achieve this goal is the development of awareness of the public administration at every level. A further goal is that of involving member companies in shared promotional initiatives, giving greater visibility to local craftsmanship both in Italy and around the world, and calling the attention of the markets to the high quality of our products and to the versatility of what we like to call the “Pietrasanta System”. We look towards creating synergies with other local fields of business, such as the stone industry and the tourism and hotel industries, in order to provide our clientele with the best services possible.
