The company was started in 1953 by Guglielmo Antognazzi, a sculptor specialised in carving drapery.
After making use of his many talents and great experience in several of the largest studios in Pietrasanta, where he mainly produced works with religious themes and classical sculpture he is now accompanied by his son Umberto, who is inspired with the same passion and skill.
Since the 1960s he has combined his usual work with collaboration in the creations of modern artists and sculptors like Jacques Lipschitz, Lorenzo Garaventa and Gonzalo Fonseca.
As with Guglielmo and his son, Umberto’s son, Ugo, has inherited the same passion and skills as his grandfather.  Ugo now runs the company, where he carries out both classical and modern works of sculpture.  Among the numerous artists who have been associated with this workshop are: Stanley Bleifeld, Hidetoshi Nagasawa, Carolein Smit, Mirella Monti and Leo Irrera.
