In 1975 a group of young people, led by Gino Lucarini (nicknamed “Ascanio”), set up an artistic foundry to produce sculptures in bronze and various other metals.
Collaboration with artists of international calibre right from the beginning enabled the foundry to create great works held in high regard throughout the world.
Over the years the Foundry has dedicated itself to upholding the principles of craftsmanship and bringing out the best in every individual work. Whether they are working in bronze or nickel silver, whether the piece is patinated or not (in any case the “lost wax” process, as ancient as the Etruscans, is always used for casting), they start from clay, terracotta, plaster or wooden models and, using silicone and plaster moulds, produce works by world famous artists like Botero, Giò Pomodoro, A. Penalba, J. Larraz, S. Chia, E. De Sigaldi, Arana, A.Romano, S. Sosno, A. and P. Poirier, R. Dalla Lasta.
There are now 16 staff working at the foundry and the technical expert responsible for relations with the public is Mr. Tiberio Lucarini, son of the great Gino.
