Lorenzo dal Torrione was born, lives and works in Pietrasanta, where he learned his art in the traditional way by passing his time in the master craftsmen\'s workshops from an early age.
He has been doing sculpture since 1966 in his studio, making clay models of classical and modern works requiring reconstruction or enlargement so that they can be reproduced in bronze, marble, resin or wood.
He has worked hard in the creation of copies from the original of works by Donatello, Michelangelo, Bernini, Canova, Rodin and the monuments of Ancient Greece and Rome.
We should not overlook his long series of works on sacred themes like the crucifix, Pietà, Way of the Cross, and holy figures.  Of particular interest is his work on the production of models for interior furnishings and his remarkable collaborations with top artists in Pietrasanta.
