Ursula was born in Seravezza (LU) in 1970 and, after obtaining a diploma from the Art School in Pietrasanta in 1987, she attended courses at the "Vocational School for Mosaic Artists and Installers” at Spilimbergo in Friuli Venezia Giulia and “Mosaic Design and Techniques of the Ravenna Region” at the Strainer School in Ravenna, while doing practical training at the “Favret” artistic mosaic workshop in Pietrasanta, where teaching has been taking place since the 1930s.
In 2001 she opened her own artistic mosaics workshop.  Here, she creates mosaics for big overseas clients, for example the wall covering for one of President Putin’s residences in Saint Petersburg and the New York Synagogue, plus works for various artists. She made the decorative pavement surfacing for Piazza di Vinci, Empoli, to the design of the artist Paladino.
In parallel with this work she does teaching and, as well as working alongside the artist Favret who teaches mosaic arts at the vocational school in Massa Carrara, she organises courses at her own workshop and in the vocational schools in the Lucca area.
