After obtaining the diploma of master of his trade, Umberto Togni founded this workshop in 1963 at the age of 20, and quickly became a leading light in the world of sculpture production for sculptors of the highest calibre.
With the help of his son, Gabriele (who, from a very early age, learned the profession in the workshop) and 5 other stonemasons, he produces classical and modern sculptures, both large and small. Having shown that the workshop could work in any sculptural medium, it became a point of reference for great sculptors like Vangi, Cosci, Finotti, Borghi and Sorensen in their search for the infinite possibilities offered by the materials of this region. White Carrara, Belgian black marbles and very hard granites are cut, rough-hewn, modelled and then sculpted, rasped and polished, finally completing the long, delicate and laborious process required to perfect a marble sculpture.
