This business, a craft school producing outstanding classical style and religious sculpture of high quality, was started in 1892 by Temistocle Sarti and has been carried on from father to son for 4 generations.
Gualtiero Luisi, Temistocle’s son-in-law, founded Novella Marmi in the mid-1950s. Then, together with his sons Massimo and Riccardo, he expanded into the funerary art market.
4 years ago, Massimo\\\'s son Nicola entered the company (after obtaining a diploma from the art school in Pietrasanta) and expanded it further, into the architecture market. Columns, fireplaces, capitals, bas-reliefs and friezes have joined the usual product range catering both to private customers and organisations in charge of conservation works.
In fact, the company has just accepted a big contract for the reconstruction of an Orthodox monastery in Russia.
