The Belfiore artistic foundry was formed in 1974 following the break-up of Fonderia Mariani-Belfiore snc.
This company – started in 1952 on the initiative of Giuseppe Belfiore and Claudio Mariani – specialised in the casting of bronze and other light metals using the “lost wax” process.
From its inception it has worked in the artistic field, creating sculpture in bronze and various materials.
It regularly does work for the following artists:
J. Flemming Sorensen, J.J Dereida, H. Wagner, P.Bretau, M.J. Kerschen, W. Mc Bride, J. Larraz, J. Roca Rey, A. Guzman, B. Woodman, E. Brenner, B. Norgard, Arch. T. Lera, Arch. A. Ramazzi, S.M. Prince Henrick of Denmark.
The principal works it has produced are:
• 1998/2004 in Denmark ( Copenhagen ) for J. Flemming Sorensen : airport fountain, sculpture of a woman for the Galleri Asbaek, various sculptures and a fountain for the New Carlsbert Foundation.
• 2000 Abbey Gardens in Reading, England, for J. Flemming Sorensen : Commemorative wall.
• 2002/2004 in Denmark for H. Varming : sculpture of old people on a bench, sculpture of a woman at a door.
• 1974 in Lima, Peru, for A. Guzman : sculpture in stainless steel.
• 2001 in the Kurashivki Tivoli Park, Hiroshima, for A. Ginstang : fountain
• 2002 in San Paolo Derida, Costa Rica, for J.J. Dereida : group of sculptures.
• 2002 in Grasse, France, for Kawiak Tomasz: Sculpture “Aluminium hair”
• 2003 in Germany for Hans Wagner : sculpture of a pair of brown bears, 5.30 m high by 2.00 m wide and 2.00 m deep.
• 2004 in Istanbul, Turkey, for Kadir Hasoglu: statue and busts of a Member of the Turkish Parliament.
• 2005 for ButanGas: statue of a seated man.
